Open Circle began this Autumn - acta’s family learning project to involve local families in both Bedminster (South Bristol) and Kingsweston (North Bristol) in a wide range of participatory arts workshops. The project offers free weekly creative activities to local families who are interested in trying out arts activities that can be replicated in the home.

Starting Wednesday 23 January, a new group for primary school-aged children and their parents, as part of our new Magic Day project in the Kingsweston area; (see the On Board section of our neighbourhood arts page for more info.) The group will meet in the main hall at City of Bristol College in Lawrence Weston, 5.00 – 6.30pm in term-time.

The acta AGM will take place on Wednesday 14th November, 7pm at the acta centre. An opportunity to meet acta’s Council of Management. Members of the council will present reports of the activites of the last year including the audited accounts. All welcome to attend.

Come and celebrate Christmas with acta this Thursday 13th December at the acta Centre, Bedminster. The evening will begin at 7.30pm with the performance of ‘Fairytale Madness’, a play that has been devised by The Reflectors Community group and will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies! This is a free event, please book as early as possible to reserve your space!
