acta is working with community partners in Upper Horfield to secure funds for a community arts project in this area of North Bristol, to include a large-scale heritage event in December 08, involving all sections of the community in charting and celebrating the different stories and cultures contained in this new community. Pilot projects begin in Spring 07, with funding recently confirmed from Arts Council Grants For The Arts and Neighbourhood Renewal.

Following the success of Castles in the Air, the Brunel community play in April 06, we have started an acta group that anyone can join. Whether as a performer, volunteer or to help behind the scenes, the open theatre group will provide the opportunity for more people to get involved.
