Our work with learning disabled people is currently focused on hosting The Misfits Theatre Company, who are based at the acta centre, and led by Project Manager, Tony Holdom, who is seconded to acta from Bristol City Council.

In 2008, acta worked in partnership with The Misfits to deliver the Forgotten community play.

The Misfits have a youth theatre group for learning disabled people aged 16 – 25 yrs. The group meets at the acta centre on Wednesdays, 11am – 3pm.  Contact acta to book a place, or find out more.

The Misfits create and perform original theatre based on their own life experiences. Over the last few years, the Company has developed this work further to offer a range of educational & training packages.
